It is 18 years to the day since the Chernobyl nuclear reactor exploded, affecting the lives of millions of people. CND calls on a new generation that have grown up in the shadow of the Chernobyl disaster to say no to the nuclear danger.

Thousands of people have died as a result of the disaster. The land will remain barren and untouchable for generations as a result of the Chernobyl accident. Babies are still being born with abnormalities, there are elevated cancer rates and there is a high suicide rate among the communities worst affected.

It is vital that as adults they join with us to campaign against the dangers of both civil and military nuclear power and continue the fight for a nuclear free world.”
