Public Liability Insurance |

CND’s public liability insurance cover provides £5 million public liability cover for all of our groups, areas and regions with an excess of £500 for property damage but none for personal injury and £10 million cover for employee liability. The key proviso in the policy is that any demonstrations being insured are undertaken with the approval of relevant authorities, which could be the police, local council, and/or emergency services.
The policy enables all groups to comply with local authority requirements for insurance cover, an increasingly necessary requirement for even the most basic campaigning such as street stalls. You can request a copy of the cover note from Jon Nott in the national office.
Many groups have generously made a donation towards our insurance cost over the last few years and I hope this will continue. We suggest a donation of £50 - 100 from groups but any amount will be gratefully received.
