<title>Croughton, Menwith Hill, Lakenheath - action against US Missile Defence</title>
		<link>http://www.cnduk.org/index.php/campaigns/no-to-nato/croughton-menwith-hill-lakenheath-action-against-us-missile-defence.html</link>
<description>May is a month of action against the US missile defence system. US plans to put new bases in central Europe, and NATO's recent backing for this provocative step, are making a new nuclear arms race more likely.

After the successful march and rally on Saturday 3rd at RAF Croughton - a US communications base involved in the MD system, located near Oxford, two further protests are planned:

Saturday May 17th: Breaking the Links protest - 1 to 4pm at Menwith Hill, near Harrogate - the largest spy base in the world and part of the MD system. See here for full details (http://www.cnduk.org/index.php?option=com_jcalpro Itemid=1 extmode=view extid=21).

Sunday May 18th: Three Strikes and You're Out protest - 1pm at RAF Lakenheath - home to 110 US nuclear bombs, and possible home to MD interceptor missiles. See here for full details (http://www.cnduk.org/index.php?option=com_jcalpro Itemid=1 extmode=view extid=17).
