10am – 4.30pm
at The Resource Centre, 356 Holloway Road,

A day to share campaigning skills and training that will help support and develop CND at the local grass roots level.
Following CND’s Global Summit last February, and the Aldermaston Easter
demonstration, we have come together to offer training and skills
sharing, which will help us to widen our campaign skills, gain
confidence and make stronger connections within our local group
networks.
Sessions during the day include:
1. Mobilising both nationally and locally for events- Angie Zelter,
Faslane 365
2. Working with the Press - Seeds for Change
3. Organising public events - Ben Folley, CND
4. Planning a campaign - Seeds for Change
5. Creative campaigning - Mell Harrison CND and Theatre of War
6. Public speaking, practical skills - Turning the Tide Trainers for
social change.(tbc)
7. An all day IT session. Using DTP and Word to design leaflets and
newsletters - Pete Lux Eastern CND, IT trainer
Please join us - sharing our vast range of practical skills and
networking is an important way of strengthening our campaigns. To help
us focus the sessions we will be basing the workshops around
campaigning against the NATO summit in April 2009.
