Election 2017: #VoteOutNukes

CND ballot box

A General Election has been called for Thursday 8 June 2017. This is a chance for us to send a clear message to government by electing more anti-nuclear MPs.

It is vital that every candidate knows that where they stand on nukes makes a difference to how we vote. We want every candidate to be contacted many times during the campaign. None of them must think that nuclear is just a side-issue.

How to #VoteOutNukes in your area

Eastern England South East London
East Midlands West Midlands North West
Yorkshire & the Humber Scotland Wales
North East South West Northern Ireland
CND is asking candidates for their views on three key issues during General Election 2017.
  1. The UK signing the UN nuclear ban treaty
  2. The replacement of Trident
  3. The construction of new nuclear power stations

We will publish the responses as we receive them to help people make an informed decision before casting their ballot. As candidates are announced you will be able to contact those standing in your area through the CND website and see what responses others have received. You can also keep up to date with the latest information through CND Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Public meeting: Election Question Time

18 May 6.30pm - 8.30pm at Bloomsbury Baptist Church
235 Shaftesbury Avenue, WC2H 8EP London, United Kingdom

What are the parties' policies on nuclear abolition and Trident? Is it possible to vote out Trident at the General Election 2017? Find out answers to these questions and more at the Election Question Time in central London.
