Libya: Stop the Bombing

Libya placards
CND regrets the British government’s decision to pursue military intervention for regime change in Libya and opposes the current attacks. CND supports diplomatic and political methods to resolve the conflict and an outcome determined by the Libyan people themselves.

The lessons of the last decade's interventionist wars have not been learnt: military intervention is not the answer to the just demands of the Libyan people for freedom and democracy. The continuing escalation of the war, the increasing number of civilian deaths and the clearly-stated regime change goals, all indicate that actions have gone well beyond what was allowed for in the original UN resolution.

Student leaders from across the country have launched a statement calling for an immediate end to the attack on Libya.
